My name is Waseem Raja and I’m the founder of The Civil Engineering blog. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Salford in the UK, I realized that there was a lack of engaging resources for aspiring civil engineers and students. This inspired me to start The Civil Engineering blog in 2016 with the goal of making civil engineering topics approachable and interesting for everyone.
On this blog, you’ll find in-depth articles covering all aspects of civil engineering, from structural design to geotechnical engineering. My goal is to break down complex engineering concepts into easy-to-understand, graphics-rich content. Whether you’re a student studying for exams or a professional looking to stay current, The Civil Engineering blog is your go-to resource for civil engineering knowledge.
About the Founder
My name is Engr Waseem Raja and I’m the founder of The Civil Engineering blog. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Salford in Manchester, UK.
I graduated with first class honors in 2008 and since then have been working as a civil engineer on various infrastructure projects. My specializations during university were in infrastructure, road design, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, AutoCAD and construction management.
Outside of my formal education, I have a passion for learning and sharing knowledge. This ultimately led me to start The Civil Engineering blog as a place to write about civil engineering topics that fascinate me, and hopefully fascinate readers as well!
